Our Services Terms and Conditions.
1.1 In these terms the references to “we”, “us” or “our” means UKCC Auto Techs. UKCC Auto Techs is a trading name of UKCC Auto Techs Limited whose registered offices are 3rd Floor, The Pinnacle, Station Way, Crawley RH10 1JH. In these terms the reference to “they”, “them” or “their” means the Independent Agent Technician of UKCC Auto Techs who’s details are supplied overleaf.
1.2 Your contract is formed with the Independent Agent Technician at the time of you making an appointment. You have no direct contract with us.
1.3 Our Independent Agent Technician will perform our service to the best of their ability at a time and location to be agreed between you and them. They reserve the right to change your appointment time with you for any reason. They will endeavour to give you reasonable notice. 1.4 Prior to any work commencing any visible vehicle damage will be recorded by the Independent Agent Technician. We and they exclude all liability for repairs of damage, whether visible or not, existing before we commenced servicing on your vehicle.
1.5 It is essential our Independent Agent Technician works with a vehicle in a good standard of maintenance. They may ask you questions about the service and maintenance history to help them understand the physical state of your vehicle’s engine. It is important you give them honest answers to the best of your abilities. If they are misled by your answers you understand they will not be held accountable if any form of engine damage occurs during the service.
1.6 Our Independent Agent Technician will perform a vehicle health check and record their findings on this contract. They will advise to the best of their ability any recommended engine repairs. You shall be responsible for having these repairs performed as soon as possible. Should you not follow the written and/or verbal advice supplied any warranties for their service(s) will be invalidated. Our vehicle health check is for purposes of our services only and does not relate in any way to a roadworthiness check or test.
1.7 It is possible during the vehicle health checks our Independent Agent Technician decides your vehicle engine is not in an acceptable condition to receive our service(s). They reserve the right to refuse to service your vehicle based on such conditions. In doing so you will be liable for a call-out and diagnostics fee to cover our costs. This fee at the time of publishing is £90 but may be subject to change. If changed the new price will be listed accurately on our website https://carbon-cleaning.co.uk.
1.8 If required some of the basic engine repair work may be offered by our Independent Agent Technician. If you choose to accept their offer for such repairs they will warranty the parts supplied and workmanship for a period of 3 months.
1.9 Our Independent Agent Technicians have public liability insurance. Subject to the above if they damage your vehicle they will repair it at no cost to you. If without prior written approval you organise a repair yourself they do not agree to be held accountable for the cost of the repair. You acknowledge that the cost to them in the event that they damage your engine will likely exceed the amount paid for their services. You agree that their total liability to you both for any service failure or vehicle damage is limited to the total cost of repairing any damage they cause to your vehicle. You acknowledge that unless agreed and they supply confirmation in writing they will not be held liable for any other costs you incur due to your vehicle being in a state of disrepair due to the damage they may have caused; this includes but is not limited to compensation for loss of income, loss of use of your vehicle, loss of business or profits or pure economic loss or indirect or consequential loss suffered by you as a result of our work. Nothing shall limit their liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by their negligence. Your statutory rights are not affected.
1.10 Payment: You agree to be responsible for the full cost of services to your vehicles(s). Payment is accepted by debit card, credit card (business credit cards are not accepted), bank transfer or cash and is due on completion of the job. You understand that the commencement of service is an agreement to pay our Independent Agent Technician in full at the agreed price. If they are VAT registered you agree to pay VAT.
1.11 Data Protection: Please ensure you chose how you wish us to manage your data overleaf. All data will be held and managed by us. Should you allow us to provide marketing communication to you this shall only be in relation to services and products relevant to your vehicle. We will not share or sell your data to any third parties. You may request a copy of your personal information we hold or request we delete that information at any time by writing to Data Protection, UKCC Auto Techs, 3rd Floor, The Pinnacle, Station Way, Crawley RH10 1JH or emailing info@carbon-cleaning.co.uk.
1.12 Any booking that you make with us in person, by phone or online will be subject to The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellations and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (SI 2013/3134) as amended from time to time.
We will do all we can to accept requests for rescheduling and cancellations without a fee. However, by booking with us you accept that if you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your booking time you do not give us fair time to replace the booking and therefore cost us loss of business. In such cases, the following booking cancellation fee applies depending on the cost of your service…
It is at the Independent Technician’s discretion to decide if he takes this fee as a deposit at the time
of
booking. If he/she does and a refund is due this will be refunded minus a £5 admin fee.
If this cancellation is not taken as a deposit and subsequently a booking is cancelled or rescheduled
within the
48-hour notice period, we, or the Independent Technician, have the right to legally follow up any unpaid
cancellation fees using services such as debt collection agencies or taking the matter to a court of
law.
1.13 Our terms of business and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their
subject
matter (including non-contractual disputes or claims of any kind arising directly or indirectly) shall
be
governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England will have exclusive jurisdiction over
any claim
arising from or related to, our goods and services.
2.1 In the course of the engine carbon cleaning process a controlled amount of Hydrogen is introduced into the engine through your vehicles air intake. It’s possible your vehicle may suffer an engine fault through no fault of our Independent Agent Technician or the service. You acknowledge this risk.
2.2 This service is primarily for preventative maintenance, not a cure. If our Independent Agent Technician is requested to clean an engine to resolve a component fault you acknowledge this is at your own risk. We nor they will not be held accountable should the service not cure any failure or fault.
2.3 Improvements to emissions and/or restoring fuel consumption and/or restoring engine performance as well as future engine component reliability depends on each individual engine. Therefore, you acknowledge we nor they cannot make any guarantees with regards to these benefits.
2.4 Having your engine cleaned using the carbon cleaning process may result in your vehicles manufacturer warranty being invalidated. If you have any questions regarding your manufacturer warranty you should contact the vehicle manufacturer directly.
3.1 Our Independent Agent Technician guarantees to clean your DPF and will provide you a written data statement of DPF differential pressures before and after the clean.
3.2 Should during or at the end of this service our Independent Agent Technician supply you with advisories for repairs or maintenance of your vehicle. You understand that these advisories are essential and not acting upon them immediately may lead to a repeat of the DPF fault. If you have further issues with your DPF within 3 months and we cannot validate the advised repairs were not completed within reasonable timescale it will invalidate any warranties.
3.3 It is likely that your vehicle will require a driven test after the service is completed. If our Independent Agent Technician holds the relevant insurance they may offer to drive the vehicle. However, if they do not have the insurance you or another insured driver must be available to drive the vehicle at their request with the technician in the passenger seat.
3.4 On completion of service our Independent Agent Technician may supply you further written advice on how to maintain your vehicle to reduce the risk of further DPF issues and faults. If you do not follow this advice it will invalidate any warranties.
4.1 Our custom calibration software remains the intellectual property of our company. Sharing, copying or modifying is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
4.2 We will not be held liable for any emission control bypass software running and in use on the public highway, these vehicles must continue to comply with euro emissions standards.
4.3 Should you require the vehicle returning back to standard, and the remap removed there will be no refund given for the remap and a service charge of £100 will be incurred to cover time and expenses.
